Movie Day!!!

Hi People!

Well, yesterday, the MYFers had movie day. This movie is called Fireproof. It talks about a heroic fireman, failing in his marriage and was about to divorce with his wife.

Caleb and his wife, Catherine, has been married for 7 years but lately, arguments over career, housework, finances, and outside interests have driven the once-happy couple hopelessly apart and they felt that divorce would be the best way to solve the problem.

Just as Caleb and Catherine prepare to officially dissolve their marriage, Caleb's father,John, presents his son with a most unusual challenge, that is to commit to a 40-day experiment called "The Love Dare," and take one last shot at saving his marriage.

While at first Caleb agrees to take a chance on "The Love Dare," the discovery that it's closely tied in with his parent's newfound faith causes him to momentarily reconsider. Still, Caleb carries on with the experiment despite being constantly rejected by his skeptical, embittered wife.

When Caleb asks his father how he can be expected to love someone who refuses to give him a fair chance, John tells his son that this is precisely the same love that God shows for humankind. Now, with a little help from above, the man who makes headlines for saving lives will fight to be a hero to the one person who matters most -- his wife.

At the end of the day, both Caleb and Catherine were back together again and they decided to recommit their marriage to God and let Him take control.

God Has No Grandsons...

What is fellowship?

Fellowship is a participation, communion or to have something in common. Fellowship happens when Christians come together to worship the one true God. Life is all about relationships, without relationships ppl would grow cold and lose life. God made us to fellowship otherwise life would be meaningless and miserable.

Sin comes in the way of fellowship, in other words, sin DESTROYS fellowship. We ourselves must have fellowship not only with one another but with the Holy Spirit as well. The Holy Spirit is not only a person but it's an experience!! You would never know a person well enough unless you have a personal encounter with that person. It goes the same as you can never claim to know God if you don't KNOW God. It comes to the same where you know Michael Jackson but he doesn't know you because there was never a personal encounter

God has no grandsons or grand daughters but only children. We MUST be a direct family member of his household. The negative happenings among the youth these days has not only set foot on the wrong path but has interfered with the fellowship that we should be having with our Big Daddy in heaven. Not necessarily we have sealed the deal after we have said the sinner's prayer, baptized or confirmed.

It's just the beginning of our experience with God. We must know God for ourselves. After we repent and be baptized, we are then given the Holy Spirit which lives in us. True fellowship happens when we have fellowship with God, true fellowship happens when we walk in the light. Referring to 1 John 1:5, where God is light. The word comes from God therefore walking by his word and obeying his command sets us on the right path. And not forgetting we have the Holy Spirit as well which prompts us to know who is the light. In which God is the light and in Him there is no darkness. Fellowship with fellow Christians compared with the secular fellowship with non Christians are never too good for us. Because they do not live by the word that reflects the characters of God, therefore it is very important that we have fellowship wih one another in Christ that we do not step into darkness.

It is vital that we cultivate the relationships that we have with the Father as the lion prowls looking a victim we always have someone to hold on to. As our speaker said "the evil one's office is here, the world is his headquarters". We have to constantly make sure that our fellowship with one another is in the Lord, to be our brother's keeper and to care for one another. So we have to make a choice in our live to either to evangelize or to fossilize.

If we don't look outward, one day, there will be nothing to look inward at. In summary, we should be like the trees rooted directly to our source if live, not like the paku pakis plants which depends on trees to give it's source. Keep in mind because God has only children, not grandchildren.

GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER 2010!

Wow! It was such a Chun event!

A bunch of us from church went for this event with little or no expectation of how great this event was before we went. But when we were there, it was such a chun event where so many people from every race, age, denomination and state in Malaysia come together to pray!

Here’s a report of what happened on that night:

I was told by Andrew (I was late, so missed the very first thing that happened). That it started with prayer and some music. They prayed for our nation & for the event. When more people came in on 6.30pm, were still in prayer “mood”.

The WMCK people who were there..

Then came some people, bearing a torch (it’s not a real torch, it was plastic, haha) signifying people from each state in Malaysia. Then after that, the event started with praise & worship songs. Then after the 1st song, we sang Negara ku. Wow! Couldn’t remember when was the last time I sang this song! Haha. Amazing! After that we cont’ to sing more songs.

Rev. Ong Sek Leang speaking...
(he is the pastor for the AOG church that was burnt down earlier this year)

Wow! There was over 12,000 people there!

"Shofar People" doing their thing..!

The super chun P&W team (in the team was Juwita & Patrick Leong)!!

The Big Stage!

This was at the back of the T-Shirts of the organizers..

SO, what have I gained from this event?

We really really REALLY NEED and MUST pray for this nation of ours. Malaysia is such a blessed and wonderful nation from the outside. But in the inside, it’s bitter and ugly because the majority of this nation are ignorant or don’t know God! As in the real GOD! We need to do our part and pray for our nation! That one day, this nation will officially announce that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD! The end times are near and people need to know Jesus!

Malaysia needs people like You and I! People who know God! People who love God. People who are already Citizens of God’s Kingdom!

As it’s said in the Lord’s prayer: Let Your Kingdom come, Let Your will be done in our lives!

So I also urge all of you reading this now, please pray for our nation’s salvation and allow God to use you! Because, that what we’re to live for! To live for God!
